Working together with Chicago Art Source, I created this back lit relief piece featuring abstracted buildings from the Chicago Skyline. This piece is at the Hyatt Centric at O’Hare. This piece uses teal and black painted wood, silver and dark mirrored acrylic, BLUE mirrored acrylic for the first time (and I love it!), FAA flight maps of the Chicago airspace, frosted acrylic, and LED lights. It was a blast exploring a cityscape using my slicing method of construction, and I love how the backlit lines of the buildings turned out. A very classy piece!
